The Uzgen minaret is located in the city of Uzgen, which became the center of the Karakhanid state in the 12th century. The minaret is part of the Uzgen historical and architectural complex dating back to the 11th-12th centuries. Judging by the construction of the structure, the primary height of the Uzgen minaret was approximately 45 m. However, over time and due to strong earthquakes, the upper part of the minaret was destroyed and now its height is 27.5 m. The walls of the structure are made of baked brick and decorated with patterns. The minaret was designed to call the mullah of Muslims to perform the obligatory prayer - prayer, and also served as a watchtower.
