"Age and Terme" festival

18.06.2023

The festival is dedicated to Kuraku and is the name of a variety of products made from scraps sewn together. The name comes from the word kura, which means "stitched together - assembled from separate parts" and refers to both the finished product and the method of making it. This type of handicraft can be found all over Central Asia. It was also used in all regions of Kyrgyzstan, but especially in the south.
